The romantic air of a loveseat is unmistakable. The name says it all. It's a loveseat that tells me that it's meant to be a place for love. But how romantic can it really be if you have to get up every few minutes to get something to keep the mood going. This is why there was a fabulous invention called a console table.
Once you are in the right snuggling posture on the loveseat, getting up to refresh a drink, snack, or anything else is nothing but a mood spoiler. But if you were to have a console table set right behind you would have the capability of having all those things you need nearby, without getting up.

The console table can even set the mood. Imagine walking that special someone into the room and seeing a bottle of wine (in a single bottle wine chiller if you're worried about it getting too warm), a vase of roses and box of chocolates in place. Also on the table, two glasses for the wine, and a remote control, set to play the romantic movie you have at the ready in the DVD player.
For an added touch, you can have romantic music playing as you enter the room with a remote to be able to turn that down as the TV comes on.
If things go well through the evening, you can keep your final surprise in the pocket drawer that is in the console table. It's a perfect place to hide that ring for an unforgettable proposal.
When it comes to choosing a console table for your loveseat, make sure you know what you are looking for. Size is important. A loveseat is not always the same height as a sofa is, so you can't assume a console table that will work for your sofa will work for your loveseat. Measure the size and make sure whatever console table you choose will be a complementary height. You want it to be the same height as the arm rests on the loveseat. After all, if you are reaching over for a glass of wine, it needs to be a comfortable reach to get to the glass or to grab that next piece of chocolate without having to completely shift in the seat.
How much will you be putting on the surface of your console table? If you want it to be able to hold a bottle of wine, in a chiller, chocolates, flowers, a lamp and other things, you are going to need a console table with a decent surface space. When looking at your options picture how much you will be able to comfortably put on the console table top.
Finally, don't forget the storage option. You will often get to choose between drawers, shelves, or possibly both on a console table. You need to select the combination that will work the best for you. Having a console table with only shelves may spoil any surprise, as a ring box would be in plain sight.
